I have a confession to make. I didn’t blog this wedding as fast as I could have. Indeed, it wasn’t because I was lazy, or didn’t feel like blogging. No. It was because I wanted to do this wedding justice. Every picture radiated elegance and just HAD to be on the blog. In the end, I narrowed it down to 47 frames, which is hardly enough to encapsulate the awesomeness of this nuptial.

Angela and Byron had a fantastic wedding at the Villa Di Felicita in Tyler — a place that’s just so easy to shoot at. I’d love to take credit for how great every photo looks, but when you have a background like that, it’s hard to take a bad photo.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while (you have, haven’t you?) you’ll know that my absolute favorite inanimate object to shoot is, without a doubt, wedding rings. It’s one of the most challenging aspects to the wedding day because I have to slow down and be creative and deliberate at the same time. On top of that, it takes a specialized lens to focus closely and lighting equipment to create a soft glow. Getting the tip of the diamond in focus requires a good deal of effort and the end result is so rewarding.

I’ve known Brooke for a few years now, and I knew she and Craig would be engaged at any moment. She texted me on Christmas day to ask if I would do some engagement pictures for them — an our after she got engaged. Being a photographer herself, I was a little nervous driving to the shoot today. That all went away quickly as these guys are a great couple to work with. I think the photos speak for themselves.
